About the Position

The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the Commission for Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC) consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. As such, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of CABC including all personnel, operational, financial management, planning, volunteer training, marketing, and fundraising efforts of the organization to support and implement the mission. Additionally, the Executive Director holds primary responsibility for developing and maintaining appropriate relationships with stakeholders.

Ideal Experience

• Experience with and knowledge of birth centers and midwifery.
• Prior experience starting or growing a business or organization and making it sustainable.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years management experience with similar levels of responsibility
• Experience with Information Technology and e-Learning

Compensation and Benefits

This is a three-quarter to full-time (negotiable) salaried position that requires travel 2-3 times per year. Salary is commensurate with experience and mutually agreed-upon hours. Relocation is not required.
