CABC Welcomes New Commissioners
CABC warmly welcomes Karin Braun and Whitney Abbott to the CABC Board of Commissioners.
Karin brings over 16 years’ experience in the field of Women’s Health and Midwifery Care as a Board-certified Nurse Midwife and Advance Nurse Practitioner. She has attended over 1,000 births in homes, birth centers, and hospitals. Karin has been a birth center Co-owner and Manager, and will obtain her Master of Science degree in Nursing next month. When asked why Karin most wants to work with CABC, Karin says: “Helping birth centers adopt best practices is rewarding. By raising the standards for safe birthing, accredited birth centers benefit not just the woman and her family, but the entire community.”
Whitney shares with CABC a breadth of knowledge that spans Nursing, Midwifery, Breastfeeding, and NRP. She is a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Helping Babies Breathe Trainer, and holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing. No stranger to travel, Whitney has worked in Haiti, China, Mozambique, Taiwan, and Romania. Whitney says: “I am excited to be a part of an organization that advocates for excellence in natural and culturally sensitive birth choices.”
Please join us in welcoming Karin and Whitney!
